Started in 2005 as an effort to drive adoption of best practices, the 2014 Honor Roll includes a composite analysis of sites security and privacy practices focusing on three major trust pillars. These include: domain and brand protection, infrastructure security and data protection and privacy. As the only comprehensive, independent online trust benchmark study, the 2014 Honor Roll focuses on best practices to help protect users. Based on a composite weighted analysis, those sites that score 80 percent or better will be recognized in the Honor Roll. Combined, this study includes over 800 sites including the Internet Retailer 500, FDIC 100 banks, social networking companies, and government agencies.
